Yes, 2 conferences would work and would insulate us better if certain users drop out.

i personally liked being a bad team, but it doesn't really matter to me

I don't mind either way... I think the Big Ten would be a fun conference to use. If we used decent teams or were free to pick whomever, I wouldn't mind seeing user games of OSU Mich, Neb Wisky, etc... We would also be competing closer in recruiting etc.... So if the competition were to be that close, ie. one conference, using better teams would not be exactly the easy sweep it would be if we kept using 3 conferences.

And, we could rank our past performance in the previous OD's to determine who gets first pick for teams. JWins would have NW... MAc (if he hadn't sold his soul and gone PS3) would have OSU and the rest would fall somewhere in between.

We could look at overall OD records and user v user records and determine a "draft" order. Then, if we have newcomers, they would fall to the back of the line and earn their spot... Also, if you want more of a challenge you can take a lower ranked team. It would, in effect, level the user vs user playing field a bit and could create (that NFL term) some great parity.
