Weiss had one particular login - both email and password - saved on his device. This login was specific to the WHAC video server and was a valid and active login of a current OSU employee. Their identity has been mentioned, but given all the shenanigans happening with that fanbase lately I'm not bringing it back up.

This is factual, know-it-for-sure, and will come out in due time.

OSU's beat had known about this for quite a while, but after a few weeks of casual mentions they were asked to discontinue discussions due to the active federal investigations.

It's becoming clear that at least one member of UM's beat learned about it before the OSU writers ever caught wind.

So we will now likely get a third investigation by the NCAA for this id imagine.

At this point how can they not get hit close to SMU levels? This is about as corrupt a program as there ever was.

Paying players back in the day is bad but I think this is worse since it directly impacts play on the field.

Any guess what they’re looking at for a penalty before this practice footage hack is done?

I keep seeing so many say “you can’t give them a post season ban. They’re too big a brand”. IMO how can they not get a post season ban? Punishment has to be pretty damn steep I think.

Just an update here. I've spoken with the Reddit guy at length because although the investigations are unrelated, there is a lot of overlap between the stories we have heard about the sign stealing stuff and the Matt Weiss stuff. I am speaking with the Reddit guy because we were given a large dump of information a long time ago: Some practice footage related and some Weiss scandal related. Since we can't totally confirm the practice footage aspects of the story, we're hoping to confirm the Weiss scandal parts of the story since it's not public information in hopes we can establish some credibility to what we were told as a whole.
My conversation with the Redditor was informative and compelling and frankly there are some very interesting coincidences that we're going to explore a bit this week. But I feel it's important to say that the Redditor is assuming that Weiss is involved based on some context clues/ coincidences. We have no firm confirmation that Weiss was involved in this marketplace ring as of right now. It very well could end up being completely true but I would not say this is a true smoking gun just yet so I want to temper expectations a bit until we can nail down some more concrete, provable information. We plan on speaking again tomorrow.
Something i will share: The Redditor showed me evidence of a "pack" of hacked sexual content containing 1000 female student athletes was made available for purchase on 7/29/22. I did not see the actual content, just some archival data from the site it was being sold, with dates and descriptions of content. The Redditor also showed me at least one of the athletes in the "pack" was confirmed to be from Michigan (I am never going to name this person so don't even ask)
Again, I can't stress this enough, the timeline and the number of athletes are a pretty strong coincidence but this in no way proves Matt Weiss was involved. i just ask that everyone stays calm and doesn't run rampant with this. And furthermore, I am kind of grossed out by all of this. I'm only digging here because we are trying to vet a large amount of sign stealing/practice footage information from a single person. I have no interest and less than zero qualifications to investigate anything relating to sexual assault/and or trafficking in sexual material.

I would say "I wonder how Mr. Underwood is feeling right now?", but he got his bag, wtf does he care? It's not like he went there out of some sense of home state pride or loyalty; he went because they were literally the highest bidder. We'll see if this impacts their ability to put a team around him down the road and if/how that impacts his NFL prospects. I suspect if things get as bad as they should, he'll just bail anyway.

I posted this to 11W but I'm adding it here, too:

Just dropping in with a timely comment after a brief back-and-forth this evening with a contact from my TV days, a now-retired federal agent.

Some of tonight's developments center around really bad people who do really bad things.

Brohio has a rock solid track record of doing things the right way and keeping himself protected.

For the rest of us, I'd be very, very careful tossing assumptions around on this aspect. Especially for those of us whose identities are known or easily found.

We've said from the beginning that this gets dark and very bad. As intriguing as it may be, this is an area where I ask that we all exercise extreme caution.

If this is accurate, that type of money can make kids forget about winning championships. That is some serious cash they can throw around. With that said, just throwing money around doesn't always lead to a championship team, but odds are, they will be circling around having a championship caliber team more often than not, if they do it correctly.
