OK, I think Hackenberg and the Penn State defense represent bigger challenges than most Buckeye fans are willing to accept. I look for this game to be close until the 4th, when numbers will begin to weigh in. That's about the time Carlos will begin to roll. Bucks by 10. Isn't this the anniversary of Joe Pa trotting off the field before the half?
Northwestern needs a breather. Depth is always their biggest issue except in those years when they don't have talent either. Anyway, this team has lost its way and a game with Iowa, at Iowa, isn't going to help right the ship of Mildcats. 'tis a shame cause I really like Fitz as a coach.
Minney at 5 and 2 says more about their ooc schedule than their potential. Gopher fans may try and channel the ghost of Bronco Nagurski. Won't help. Nebraska may not have a lot of defense, but it'll be more than enough to trap Goldie the Gopher.
Speaking of ghosts, I thought I saw a chance that this Illinois team might rouse the ghost of Red Grange. They could use him against Sparty's defense. I think a safer bet is that the prairie winds will continue to be Memorial Stadium's best pass defense. I'm guessing it will be close, but I think tears will appear in the eyes of ol' Red's statue and some kid in Farmington will find an eggplant with Bubba Smith's face on it. Let the pilgrimages begin.

NW put every last egg they had into the OSU game basket. 2 weeks to prepare, home at night, QB and RB healthy for the only time all year and when that STILL wasn't enough they've had nothing in the tank since. Nothing.
