2013 Week 14 B1G FB Open Thread

Iowa v. Nebraska: Farmageddon, should be a thoroughly bland showcase on national TV
Ohio State v. Michigan: Plunger raping, 1st class
Minnesota v. Michigan State: Sparty finishes the regular season without Spartying all over the place
Penn State v. Wisconsin: Pain
Northwestern v. Illinois: Painful to watch
Purdue v. Indiana: Who cares? Anyone? Didn't think so.

Speaking of Turd-dunkin, how 'bout the Old Oaken Bucket? I don't know which team is more inept, but it does keep the Big Ten's crap in one state. Indiana.

Penn State of course will be grousing that if they'd stayed independent they'd be playing Pitt instead of getting their ass kicked in by Wisconsin. Go Badgers!

Northwestern v Illinois - at least they won't be playing this in Wrigley Field. Will Northwestern have enough bodies left to field a team? I like the Illini to go on a two game win streak.

Would three wins in a row save Bo Pelinni's job? Maybe, but though both struggled to beat Michigan, I think Iowa is getting tougher as the season progresses.

So Minnesota, your prize for having your first decent season in something like forever is to get slammed by the Spartans at season's end.

If I were Urban I'd spend this week having the team read the press clippings prior to the 1969 game. I will never, ever forget how bad I felt after that debacle. There is the possibility of this slipping into a trap game, but I think the Bucks gonna skin some weasels. Actually, the same possibility exists for Michigan State too. Both need to keep their eyes on the prize until the 7th.

My picks for this week:
Minnesota @ Michigan State: I believe the Gophers shot their wad in a big rivalry game with Wisconsin last week. Expect a scenario similar to what Northwestern went through earlier in the year. MSU is firing on all cylinders, and there's no way they lose this one at home on senior day. Spartans by 17.

Ohio State @ Michigan: The Wolverines are battling it out with Northwestern for Big Ten's most disappointing team this year. OSU will shut down an already abysmal offense and put up points. Lots of them. Buckeyes by 16.

Purdue @ Indiana: The Battle for the Old Oaken Bucket looks like it'll be another stinker this year. Purdue has won the last two in this matchup but is easily the worst Big Ten team in 2013. Indiana sends its seniors out with a victory. Hoosiers by 23.

Northwestern @ Illinois: The Land of Lincoln Trophy (formerly Sweet Sioux Tomahawk) is up for grabs this year, and this one probably won't be much prettier to watch than the PU-IU game. Illinois takes out a depleted NU team at home to close out the year. Illini by 1.

Penn State @ Wisconsin: UW finds itself in a similar position to MSU - both are fighting for an at-large BCS bid. The Nittany Lions won this game last year in State College but have not looked good on the road at all this season, going 0-3 and giving up an average of 44 points. Badgers by 24.
