One of, if not the, weakest #1 seeds I can remember. That resume says it all.

Just sayin': If both Ohio State and Arizona win the first the two games a West regional semifinal game of Ohio State vs Arizona would be nice:

Thad Matta vs Sean Miller

It could be a game where the two head coaches actually like each other....

I have not watched New Mexico play at all this year. What's with all their hype? I see on their roster that they've a 7 footer, is he mad-skilled or something? Or are they just a solid all-around team?

Any insight is obviously appreciated.

Some serious anti-Big Ten bias on the CBS bracket show. Only one of the three hosts picked a B1G team to reach the final four and all three had either Gonzaga or New Mex from the West.

I have no idea why New Mex is a 3 with losses to South Dakota St, St Louis (by 14), San Diego St (by 29), UNLV and Air Force. They do not have a single win against a team currently in the top 25.

Of course, we have only beaten three top 10 teams in the last three weeks, so why should we get any props?

And don't get me started about Gonzaga ....

The West may be the weakest bracket I have ever seen - not that there is anything wrong with that.

Are you referring to when there was a segment with Barkley and some other turd when they were screaming "zomgzz big eastzz?" If so, I found that more comical than insightful or frustrating. I wasn't paying close attention to the other CBS segment because that involved looking at Doug Gottlieb's face.

I appreciate you illustrating what their schedule shortcomings were. Frankly I had no idea they had blemishes like that on their resume. Further, I'm just not seeing a team in the west bracket that particularly scares me and obviously that seems to be a shared perspective here.

Call me crazy but I really like our elite 8 chances.
