With the ND turnover, Ifeadi leaning towards Stanford?

The superlatives are easy to come by watching the defensive line. Ohio State commitment Noah Spence routinely beat his man off the edge.

Uber athlete Davonte Neal of Scottsdale, Ariz. worked more at wide receiver today after spending most of the first practice at cornerback. He had trouble getting off the line against Echols, but he still shows his trademark explosiveness in and out of his routes. Scout ranks him as a cornerback, because we think that's his best college position. While he can play corner, safety, running back, or receiver in college, corner still looks like his best position to this scout.

Spence would have likely ended up at PSU if not OSU.

Free 24/7 - Under Armour Team Highlight Notes

Ohio State commitment Noah Spence (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) has put together two impressive days coming off the edge. His initial quickness and ability to change direction, has been eye catching and he has received praise from Team Highlight coaches for his first step get off.

One of the pleasant surprises thus far has been long armed defensive end prospect Ifeadi Odenigbo (Centerville, Ohio). The 6-foot-3, 212-pounder has shown excellent change of direction ability for his size as well as the ability to quickly close on ball carriers, while staying under control. He drew praise from the Team Highlight coaching staff on multiple occasions on day two.

Free 24/7 - Under Armour Practice Day 4

Defensive end

1- Noah Spence, Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt

Spence, who is committed to Ohio State, showed the quick first-step get-off and ability to close on the ball that we have seen on film numerous times. His strength and physicality combined with his edge-rush ability provide him with the chance to be a dominant weak-side defensive end at the next level.

Linebackers

4- Dalton Santos, Van (Texas)

The 6-foot-3, 257-pounder has backed up his reputation as a downhill run-fit thumper. We expect Santos to be a quality first and second down run-stuffer at the next level. Santos currently is committed to Tennessee, but is considering Arkansas (he has an official visit set up) with Texas A&M also a possibility.

Cornerbacks

1- Davonte Neal, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral

Easily the most talented cornerback prospect on Team Highlight, Neal is the most versatile player in the game. In fact, this week, he?s lined up at receiver more than cornerback because of injuries, but in limited reps at corner, has shown the change-of-direction and ball skills of a big time corner. He?s one of the best players pound-for-pound in the game and the Class of 2012. Ohio State, Arkansas, Notre Dame and others are chasing Neal, who is wide open at this point.
