@GerdOzone Luke Fickell says that Dorian Bell is not in summer school and will not be in the 105 to start fall camp per @BCastOzone..

@GerdOzone Ouch. Nice indirect shot at Vincent Smith. RT @kmeinke Hoke said after Vincent Smith graduates, the No. 2 jersey will have to be earned...

The stories of Mr. Carter and Big Hank going at it in the trenches should be fun to hear over the next few years. Those are some big boys that I am happy to have on the good side.

@GerdOzone Hoke's arrogance isn't real. It's based on the school. I believe Bielema's arrogance has been brewing since he was about 7 days old.

@GerdOzone If I read the release correctly, Iowa and Nebraska are playing for actual people, not trophies! The Heroes Game trophy is made of people!

@ramzyn Dodd has become so overcome by stupidrage he's become a threat to himself.* No neckties or silverware.* Plastic utensils only.

@marcushartman Luke Fickell said FR OL Chris Carter came in at 379 and is somehow up to 390 despite ramping up workouts

@GerdOzone So @BCastOzone, with Brewster being more interested in the RB battle and Fickell saying he hopes Braxton can have same impact as TP the dots are beginning to be connected at QB for Ohio State it would seem.

@marcushartman FWIW, Chad Henne called it "Ohio" when I talked to him about the rivalry here in 2007

@BCastOZone: Mike Martin said #Michigan will run a 4-man front on defense this year with Wiliam Campbell playing the 3-technique.

The '5%' of fans he's talking about live in Podunk, Nebraska, use rotary phones and think Omaha is like New York City.

Different states but...

@BCastOZone
Fickell said Bollman will do most play-calling but with help from Stan Drayton and the other offensive coaches.

@BCastOZone
Fickell said Tressel was very involved in play-calling early in his career, but started to let Bollman and Hazell call most of the plays

From yesterday:

@PDBuckeyes Ohio State S Orhian Johnson joined Fickell int to ask what players would eat in camp. LF said hot dogs or steak, depending on performance

@marcushartman Jim Delany described college athletics as "a system established in the '50s and stuck in the '70s"

@GerdOzone I always felt that Jim Tressel liked and respected Lloyd Carr and RichRod. I don't necessarily get that same vibe with Fickell and Hoke.

@marcushartman And this might have been a slip of the tongue, but Fickell said he hopes Braxton Miller shows he is ready to handle playing as a frosh QB

@GerdOzone Bielema says he doesn't give any thought to #OSU, but says Terrelle Pryor's comments about Wisconsin made him want to play against TP again.

:shake: He is really bad at lying.

@JeffSvoboda Haha, Bill Carollo on the new live-ball penalty for excessive celebration: "I think I'm confident we're going to have some controversy."

@JeffSvoboda Might as well admit it. Carollo is the Big Ten head of officials. Also: "Will we be consistent across the board in this area? Probably not."

@marcushartman Fickell said they are anxious to see what they can get from RS Fr Rod Smith at tailback

@marcushartman Luke Fickell talked several times about potential contributions from freshmen on offense this season

Finally watched the replay of the coaches in OSU's division and I was impressed with Paterno. He was pretty sharp, especially compared with the feeble version we saw last year.

He also took shot after shot at the media, particularly their inflated ego in driving firings and distorting the reality of college athletics and the challenges/luck involved with avoiding NCAA trouble.

Other than not knowing about the taunting rule, his presence was excellent. He even dug out a socrates quote :lol:

Interested in hearing who those freshmen could be on the offense (other than Miller...he is the obvious one).
I think Devin Smith and Evan Spencer both have great opportunities to contribute. I think Bobek could help us out at guard this year before being our starting center next year.
