Thought I'd start up a thread to discuss trade rumors and actual trades leading up to the deadline.

Big Met fan here. I know we're real hot right now, but most Met fans will acknowledge we need a corner outfielder with some pop. Raul Ibanez is at the top of my wishlist. I think he's attainable at the right price and would be a great addition to the team.

Reds have some dude named Dunn that has a little pop in his bat.

Thats what we all say. "The price" for Dunn is the million dollar question. He is one of the most unique players in MLB it really depends on how much emphasis you put on K's and BA.

The Reds can let him walk and get 2 high draft picks.

I'm not up on any of the Mets farmhands by name but in general I think it might take a couple of guys more near MLB ready than just two B level guys.

Or they can always just re sign the guy. They have to spend money on something.

The Red Sox traded embattled slugger Manny Ramirez to the Dodgers late Thursday afternoon, SI.com has learned.

Jason Bay is headed to Boston as part of the deal, SI.com has learned. The Pirates will get four minor leaguers in the three-way trade.

The Red Sox went back-and-forth with the Marlins and Dodgers as the 4 p.m. ET deadline approached. Ramirez said earlier today, as first reported by SI.com, that he would accept a trade to any team.

Someone on NESN just said that Pittsburgh reportedly get Craig Hansen and Brandon Moss from the Red Sox and Andy LaRoche and a AA pitcher from the Dodgers.
