2007 USA Today Coaches Poll

Top 10 sounds good to me. Maybe a little high, but striking similarities to 2002 when we began, I think #13. Athletic young defense; relatively unproven, smart QB; young stud RB; big, solid, cohesive OL...

SOS wise we'll be helped by getting to play 2 Top 10 teams ahead of us(assuming they stay that way).

I like 10, not high enough to draw attention, not low enough to permanantly fuck you.

As always with polls there are some questionable ones. WVU, OU and VT jump out at me.

It would appear that many are counting on OSU to lose to both Wisconsin and Michigan. I don't see that happening.

And where is Charlie and the Touchdown Factory? Can't they see how many Super Bowl rings Charlie has?

I was pleasantly surprised to see the Bucks at 10. I figured around 13-15. With decent QB play this season, we could mix it right up with any of these teams. There are a lot of good teams there this year, not one dominant team from what I can see. USC will be awesome, but so will WVU. I like Texas this year as well and of course, scUM will disappoint.

:oh:

I am pretty happy with the ranking to be honest, everything I have read and seen lead me to believe we would be around 15. We have a lot of untested people in important areas, QB and Receivers. Our schedule may work against us but we'll see.

USC is really hyped nationwide, it will be interesting to see how they do, Petey is good at dealing with Hype but last year his team fell apart at the UCLA game.
