How is my 2007 pups thread the exact same topic as "what excites you most about 2007??"

IMO....they have nothing to do with each other. NONE AT ALL!!! I was asking about incoming freshmen prospects!!! Not about 2007 in general!!

What kind of forum is this?

You kill my "hi I'm new" thread because someone took offense because of my comment.....1-AA teams arent worthy of OSU football..... ok I can live with that.

What does my freshman pup 2007 question have to do with where you moved the thread? My question has nothing to do with "what excites you about 2007"........

As a newby, you aren't making this buckeye native feel very welcome.

Any thoughts?

Don't get offended... I didn't move that one  but if it's been merged, it will just mean more discussion. We have a ton of new threads every day, and the best way to make sure people can see the topics they want is by trying to keep things organized. For example, this thread will probably migrate to the Administration forum in a bit, where people can talk about board policy. Though we usually ask that complaints be PM'd to the mods involved...

Like every other community, it's tough to walk in and expect things to change to accommodate the new person. Check out the lay of the land and you'll see why we've developed the sort of structure we have. Ultimately, it's much more reader-friendly than a ton of very short threads that tend to get missed. There's a nifty feature to jump to the first unread post in a thread, so nothing is missed by merging threads.

And like I said... it's the offseason. Gets a little fiesty 'round 'bout this time of year...

Don't write posts complaining about things or you'll just make it worse, just relax and stick around and you'll work your way into the community.

Correct, but feel free to vent if anyone gives you negative dings.

Screw Michigan.

Just in case anyone forgot.

As a newby, I'd like to discuss the prospects of the new freshman class, and I wonder why my 'freshman PUPS' question gets lumped into a thread that has nothing to do with my question.

"what excites you about 2007" has nothing to do with my question about incoming freshmen class.

As a new guy, I'm a little frustrated that 2 out of 2 threads I've started get killed immediately. Help a newby out!!!!:osu:

I'm starved for info!! I thought my incoming freshmen question was a valid question. Oh well.... Maybe I'll sit back and read for awhile.......:oh:

Not true. You will find a lot about the new recruits in that thread. One of the big, and best, things about this board is that it's free from repetitive threads. There's too much of that on most boards. there is also a whole recruiting forum about each player and the class. It's nothing personal and not an attempt to make you feel unwelcome.

Your "hi, i'm new" thread was moved because there is also a thread dedicated to that very subject in the Open Discussion forum.

I'd advise you to pipe down.. over here, they don't take to kindly to these type of questioning threads... Just get the great info over here, occasionally chime in, and don't create a stir... They're like the Soup Nazi over here, great product, but keep your mouth shut :io:

LOL..OK.... Asking about the freshman class....off limits. (got it)

BTW... my favorite time to shout "OH" isnt necessarily at games.. It's on vacation whenever I see someone wearing OSU clothes:)

It's always fun to be somewhere 1000, 5,000, or 10,000 miles from home and getting an "IO" in return!! oh yea.. I can never get enough of that!!

FYO.......my most distant "IO" response was while traveling in Malaysia. One thing is certain...buckeyes are everywhere!!

You seem rational enough but honestly, you aren't going to get a lot of love here posting threads whining about your thread getting merged with another one. That's SOP here, and it cuts down on the clutter you see on other forums with 10 threads asking the same thing and nobody resonding, so somebody posts thread #11...

Your post is in another thread, address it there.
