Which OSU pledge did enough on the field to grab your vote this week?
What a wild week. Before his decommitment from the Buckeyes class of 2016 on Wednesday evening, Hubbard speedster George Hill was named the Land-Grant Holy Land MVP of the week after snatching up 45% of your votes.
While Hill is no longer up for the award, many of his former classmates are. After shining under the lights over the weekend, which current Ohio State pledge did enough to walk away with your vote this week? The poll is open. Let your voice be heard:
Here are your week 8 nominees:
Austin Mack
In what is quickly becoming a weekly occurrence, Austin Mack once again showed why he's mentioned among the top wide receiver prospects in the class of 2016. Helping lead his Fort Wayne Bishop Luers squad to a 28-15 win over Fort Wayne North Side on Friday, the four-star standout caught six passes for 160 yards and a touchdown.
A jack-of-all trades for Bishop Luers, Mack also chipped in 12 rushing yards, 21 return yards, and two total tackles in the win.
Danny Clark
Clark, fellow OSU pledge Todd Sibley, and Akron Archbishop Hoban made easy work of Parma Padua Franciscan on Friday. Sibley, who rushed for 82 yards, and a touchdown was a factor, but it was Clark's arm that led Hoban to the 35-7 victory.
Completing 16-21 of his passing attempts, the class of 2017 commit racked up 269 yards and three scores. In a night where mistakes were few, one of Clark's only blemishes was an interception on a scoring drive in the first half. With the win Hoban is now 8-0 on the season.
Tristen Wallace
After a sluggish start to the season, Wallace, and DeSoto (TX) are trying to finish the year off strong. Coming into the weekend needing a victory, Wallace paced the DeSoto offense over South Grand Prairie on Friday evening.
In the 48-31 DeSoto win, the four-star quarterback accounted for over 300 total yards. Doing most of his damage on the ground, Wallace scampered for 168 yards and two touchdowns for the now 3-4 Eagles.
Kareem Felder
The future Buckeye defensive back plays on both sides of the ball for his Franklin (MD) high squad. Even though he will join the silver bullets in the secondary next year, Felder showed off his play making ability as a receiver in a 61-0 blow out win over Towson on Friday.
According to Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts ($), Felder hauled in five receptions for 115 yards and three touchdowns in the Franklin High run away victory.
Brendon White
A lot like Felder, White stars on offense as well as defense. Going both ways on Friday, White put up huge numbers, but it wasn't enough for Olentangy Liberty to pull out the victory, falling to Hilliard Davidson by a final score of 26-0.
As first reported by Bill Kurelic, the 2017 OSU pledge had a decent outing as a receiver, catching 5 balls. One of the overall leaders on the Patriots defense, White finished the game with 20 total tackles.
