Scout$--Hill Is One Of Ohio's Best For 2012

From The Bank...Alden has a 3.7 GPA, rushed for 1200 yds with 17 TDs last year, and has already heard from tOSU.

Wow, another quality running back prospect for '12. The good news is with such a deep pool the Bucks are certain to get a stud. The bad news is that we will probably have to face the remainder of that group regularily around the Big10 for 4-5 years.

This kid is a stud! He is hard to bring down, and it ususally takes 2-3 defenders to take him down. He runs really tough. I don't think he will get that much of a look or offer because of Ball/Dunn, but whoever gets him is going to get a great football player.

NBC Player of the Year: Alden Hill

The numbers Set single-season school records with 1,756 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns. ... Averaged almost 9 yards a carry. ... Rushed for a single-game record 279 yards and scored four TDs in a win over Carrollton.

What he does Punishing running back who already has set Marlington's career rushing record with more than 3,000 yards before the start of his senior season. An NCAA Division I recruit, Hill already has an offer from Ball State.

What his coach says "He really worked hard in the offseason. He came back this year much faster, much bigger and much stronger. His stats are just ridiculous. ... To average 8.1 yards a carry for your career, that's unbelievable. To hold every rushing record in school history as a junior is just mind-boggling." - Marlington's Ed Miley

dymonte thomas is way better. he plays both wasy an gets it done on both sides of the ball really well. an he is a very respectable young man. i have never seen him get upset cause someone else was getting all the carries....

I wouldn't say either are better than the other. They both are great great players that are going to be successful in college.

Marlington 35, Dover 23

By Jim Isabella
Special to the Beacon Journal

. . .

With all the talk of Marlington's dynamic duo of junior running backs Alden Hill and Dymonte Thomas, the game turned out to be a showcase for Dukes quarterback Jesse Carpenter. The junior, known as ''the Matrix'' because no one can tackle him, was 10-of-18 for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

. . .

''We said all along our offense would take what the defense gave us and we had confidence in Jesse,'' Miley said. The Dukes jumped in front 7-0 on a 3-yard touchdown run by junior running back Alden Hill with 3:49 left in the first quarter, capping a 12-play, 93-yard drive.

. . .

Carpenter and Williamson's second touchdown hookup of the night of 28 yards and Hill's second touchdown from a yard out in the second half ended Dover's season at 10-3.

The ill Thomas still managed to rush for 154 yards on 23 carries and Hill had 104 on 27 carries. The defense bounced on five Tornado turnovers.
