From the LSU site. Guy doesn't hold any offers yet, but names an early top three of Texas, Florida, and LSU in that order. He says that if Texas were to offer, it would be hard not to verbal on the spot.

From the Texas site...projects as a zero technique/nose guard at the next level.

From the Texas site...talks about how grateful he is to have early offers (from Stanford, Kansas State, Michigan and Texas A&M)...has always wanted to go to Texas and could commit early if they offer.

Probably a longshot at best but let's see how things play out when offers pour in from all four of the schools his '09 teammates are headed to...Texas, LSU, Oklahoma and Ohio State...

From the A&M site...has added offers from Missouri, Cal, Army and Baylor to go with offers from Texas A&M, Michigan, Stanford and Kansas State. Talks about speaking with the Cal and A&M staffs...says he has heard OSU has received his film.

Jay's film is impressive, he just bullies people. Reminds me of Brandon Thompson from the 2008 class a bit. Texas already has 2 top-flight DT verbals, and 2 4* DT signees form 2009. Might he have a LEGIT shot here? I sure hope Kenny gives me some nice feedback. He is EXACTLY what we need a the position, exactly. With Rowell probably not makin git in... I would have to imagine a top-flight guy at DT woul dbe a need, and Jay Guy fits the bill....

EDIT: Texas fans seem to be convinced that they are done recruiting DTs for 2010 with who they have now. They say they MAY go after another, but feel the staff is set with the guys they have now.

Probably signed due to Cal's 3-4 defense. This is a monster get for our defense. We have been missing a true NT (I guess most D-1 schools lack a true NT) to run our 3-4.

Not to turn this into a Cal thread, but it's a shame the timing doesn't work out. With a larger front 3 than we had this year, Zack Follet and Worell Williams would have been absolute monsters for the Pac-10 (not that they weren't already overachievers).

Tedford is a decent recruiter for the school he's at, but this could turn out to be one of his most important recruits.
