BN $ - Gulley Plans To Attend Ohio State Junior Day

1/13

By BK...getting mail from the likes of Ohio State, Cincinnati, Alabama, Pitt, Kansas, UCLA, Wisconsin and Boston College...plans to attend OSU's next junior day.

Well "Gulley Gee", he can make some really quick cuts. That's what really impressed me. He seems to have solid top end speed too, at least enough to get to the edge at the next level to get into a position to make his cuts and moves in the open field. And, he seems to know when to go outside when there is no hole available inside. Dunno if he will get an Ohio State offer. But, he should be reasonably productive in college. Tyson and Toneo could be Ohio State versions of James and Jacquizz, though.

Whoa. You would swear that tape is sped up the way he's flying and making those cuts. I was pretty impressed with those highlights. Anyone else see tremendous speed through the first 20-40 yards, then he seems to run out of gas and doesn't look so fast... However, his first 40 yards look like a 4.3-4.4 guy

Any1 know where recruiting services have him ranked among Rb's?

Dang, I would offer Tyson on his return ability alone. Can you say Brandon James... Darren Sproles... Garrett Wolfe? Kid has some sick moves. Sign him up. If we can give a scholarship to a junior Long Snapper and have four scholarship kickers/punters on the roster, we sure as hell can have one solely for his return ability, right? Plus though, he looks like he is a heckuva RB in the open field

I brought him up on the class 10 recruiting . This kid is so dang fast, He won the 100 meters city title in track as a sophomore which , I can't remember the last runner doing that in the 100 meters as a sophomore. PAST BUCKEYE Pittman never won an individual city title in track but, won on relays and we all remember, he was really fast. In the city title game against Butchel was funny. I've never seen a player make Buchtel look slow on the field. I know OSU likes smaller RB'S but, this kid could play CB too. Between him and his brother(freshman freak) OSU might want to get on this one.

Recruiting services haven't even come close to preparing position rankings for 2010 kids at this point...

Let's not get carried away comparing every kid with a burst to one of the fastest players to ever come through Ohio State...

Agreed, although it's inevitable for any player from Ohio who can move to be compared.

Gulley doesn't really remind of TG2 that much. Gulley is extremely sudden laterally, whereas TG2 was good laterally, but pretty much just scorched you with straight-away speed. In all fairness, Gulley looks like a great slot prospect, but I highly doubt he has Ted's breakaway ability.

I could see Michigan being all over this kid.. I hope we don't hold his lack of size against him. Not that Im promoting an offer at this point, because I'm sure the coaches have evalutated him and have him somewhere on their board, but his highlight tape is one of the more impressive ones Ive seen for the 2010 class, on the offensive side of the ball.

Gulley lands another offer

Running back Tyson Gulley (Akron, Ohio/Garfield) has received another scholarship offer. Gulley, who has been a varsity starter since the beginning of his freshman season, has added an offer from Kansas. He already had offers from Akron, Toledo and Ohio University.

The 5-foot-9 and 170-pound Gulley rushed for close to 1,400 yards and scored 22 times during his junior season.

In addition to Kansas, Akron, Toledo and Ohio University, Gulley is also being recruited by Cincinnati, Boston College, Wisconsin, Pitt and others.
