Ohio OL favors two schools

Offensive lineman Ben Buzelli (Wadsworth, Ohio) started at offensive tackle his sophomore season. He played both offensive tackle and defensive tackle during his junior season and will do the same as a senior.

The 6-4, 298-pounder is expected to play on offense at the next level. He attended camps at Ohio State and Pitt earlier this summer, and visited Akron.

"Akron and Ohio State are pretty much my two favorites," Buzelli said. "I like Cincinnati, Pitt, and Ohio University too, but mostly Akron and Ohio State.

"Ohio State is my favorite. At their camp they said if I play really well, after the first two games they would think about offering me."

Buzelli is waiting for his first scholarship offer.

Ben the wrestler

Does anyone know how Ben played in his first two games?

He looks to be a pure offensive guard at the college level. He might be an under the radar type recruit that could surprise. Since he is a very good wrestler, we know he would be a physical and strong football player.

Tackling football, tuba a full-time job

To Ben Buzzelli's friends and Wadsworth foot ball teammates, he's simply "Big Ben."

Appropriate, but the name goes far beyond the senior's 6-5, 285-pound frame.

Buzzelli is a three-year starter on the area's sixth-ranked and 6-0 football team. Also an accomplished wrestler, he is drawing interest as an offensive tackle from coaches at Ohio State and most Mid-American Conference schools. But it's his role as a four-year tuba player in the school's marching band that tugs at people's heart.

Anyone know what happened to this fine looking young man....looks like a solid athletic background to me. Definitely looks worth the risk for instate in this years class. I googled, but could come up with nothing....is it possible he is chosing to focus on wrestling?
