Grant attended his first Buckeye game as a recruit when tOSU played YSU. He is also hearing from Michigan State, Ball State and Wisconsin. Favors tOSU. He is playing inside at DT for Scioto this year, but is being recruited as a DE or OLB.

The Buckeyes have a commitment from Dublin (Ohio) Scioto senior safety and running back Bradley McDougald. McDougald was one of many of the Buckeyes' 25 verbal commitments in Ohio Stadium on Saturday watching as the Bucks blasted Youngstown State 43-0.

McDougald's teammate, junior defensive end Grant Pleasant, was also in the house. Pleasant has seen the Buckeyes play in Ohio Stadium before, but this time was a little different.

As a side note, I had Grant in class when he was a freshman and he is a great kid with a great work ethic. Happy to hear he is getting some attention from college programs.

Ohio DE names favorite

Defensive end Grant Pleasant (Dublin, Ohio/Scioto) has scholarship offers from Bowling Green, Toledo, Akron and Ohio University. He says he is considering all four as well as Michigan State and Wisconsin, and hopes the two Big Ten schools also offer.

"Michigan State and Wisconsin want to see game film from my first three weeks," Pleasant said.

When asked who his favorite is, Schofner said, "Toledo and Bowling Green out of the schools that have offered. I feel real comfortable with both of them. It is real close between the two.

"Out of all the schools I like Michigan State best. It is a great school and the football facilities are state of the art."
