QB/SS
6'2, 195 pounds
Warren G. Harding High School
Class of 2010

With size & youth on his side, Mike Dorsey already has the attention of the Big Ten (Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, etc.). No offers as of yet, but it's very early. Ohio State is busy filling up the next two classes, but don't be surprised to hear a lot more about Dorsey over the next three years. Film link below.

Coach Tressel visited WGH last Wednesday while he was making rounds in the Mahoning Valley. Word is that Dorsey is one of teh players that Tressel was interested in. Nothing major right now, but Dorsey has Tressel's attention. Hopefully, it will motivate him to continue to work harder evertyday so that he can become the player that he wants to be.

Is that partially to make room for Mikhail Seawood?

Personally, I think that it's a combination of reasons, with yours being one of them. Dorsey is a nice athlete, and his size and skills would make him an ideal TB. Senior-to-be Aunre Davis rotated with Dorsey at QB last season. Davis also plays cornerback, so I could see Seawood playing a nice role next year rotating at QB. He's a big kid (6'1, 215 pounds) with an even bigger arm! We'll see how he handles a faster pace, but I think that he's ready. He won't sit Davis down, but he doesn't have to.

Getting back to Dorsey, I always saw him as a TB on offense. Even then, he won't have to carry the entire load by himself with sophomore-to-be Demond Hymes coming up. WGH should have a pretty nice rotation as long as the players continue to develop. Whatever the case may be, Dorsey will play a HUGE role on both sides of the ball. His game reminds me a lot of Sidney Glover's (currently at West Virginia). Glover was solid his entire career, but he was very successful his senior year when he didn't have to carry the load at QB very much anymore. We'll see what Dorsey does in a few months.

Dorsey, now 205 pounds, currently benching 285 pounds (max). He has been busy with basketball season, but he hasn't stopped putting on more muscle since the end of last season. It will be interesting to see how far his progression will go heading into this summer, when he will be able to attend camps.

FWIW, FV Sports ranked Dorsey #43 in the country for the class of 2010. Link below.
