Are there any schools that haven't offered, but you wish they would?

I wish Ohio State would offer. I've been an Ohio State fan my whole life and if they offered they'd be pretty high up on my list and I probably would make an official visit.

With that offer list one would think he would at least get a passing glance.

USC recruiter and assistant coach Brad Lawing is making his run through his North Carolina territory, and one player he checked on last week was OL TJ Leifheit (6-7, 300) of Wilmington.

?He wants to get me down to meet the new OL coach,? Leifheit said. The Gamecocks have offered along with Clemson, California, Duke, FSU, Maryland, UNC, N.C. State, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Wake Forest, East Carolina, Southern California, LSU and BC. Ohio State also is showing interest and Leifheit, a lifelong Buckeye fan, is waiting on an offer from them though he said he wouldn?t commit right away if he got one. He does not have favorites at this point, but he plans to have a top six by next month.

Wilmington lineman has North Carolina on his list

Wilmington Hoggard High's T.J. Leifheit, arguably the best offensive lineman in the state after Chapel Hill High's Robert Crisp, has been quietly narrowing his college choices.

?He's at North Carolina's camp this week, and then he's going to Florida in a week or so,? Hoggard coach Scott Braswell said. ?He's getting closer to narrowing it down.?

Braswell said he believes Leifheit's short list includes North Carolina, Florida, Southern California, Tennessee and Ohio State.

?After his Florida trip, I think he's going to stay home and concentrate on high school football,? Braswell said. ?Then he'll take his official visits in the fall.?

Leifheit is a 6-foot-7, 320-pound offensive tackle who is on track to graduate in December. He'll likely make a verbal commitment a month or two before that.

Wilmington, North Carolina offensive tackle T.J. Leifheit grew up cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Tar Heel state trenchman recently narrowed his list of possible destinations, but his childhood team isn't among those schools.

"I just narrowed it down to my top seven," Leifheit said. "It's Southern California, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Florida State, Florida, Tennessee and LSU. I don't have a leader. Everyone is even.

"They all fit my criteria in different ways. It's really hard to describe but they all have different advantages. By being the best fit I mean a good relationship with the coaches, comfort level around the program and campus. That kind of stuff."
