Michael Brewster's teammate at Edgewater. I wonder how good his blocking is, considering the fullback at OSU under Tressel has hardly emphasized the running ability of a fullback.

The film available is mostly clips of him running dives from the fullback position. He has a low center of gravity and seems to have a nose for the end zone in goal line situations. Does not go down on first contact. There are a few clips of him working out of a single back set and also a few clips of fim pass blocking, which he does adequately. Also a clip of him catching the ball out of the backfield. Certainly not enough film available right now to talk about offers, but he was apparently impressive down in SA. Definitely some fun clips to watch...he is a real load and still has decent speed. Rivals lists him at 5-11 and Scout says 6-0. He looks smaller than that on film but I imagine they took an accurate measurement down in SA so we should know soon enough how tall he really is.

FYI, Brewster is a mauler.

Bakas' updated Florida rankings and scouting reports...Schwartz checks in at #92.

I agree with Bakas about loving Schwartz's film...and agree that he likely projects as a FB and that is probably why he is ranked so low.

Edgewater's Schwartz likes Wisconsin, waiting on Louisville

Edgewater fullback Jeremiah Schwartz said the two schools he has the most interest in are Wisconsin and Louisville.

He has an offer from Wisconsin and likes the program's tradition and offensive line. Schwartz is hoping his performance this season can earn him an offer from Louisville. He said Louisville's interest petered when former coach Bobby Petrino left the program last spring.

"My friend?s mom lives there so I can go to her house and get some food," Schwartz said.

At the advice of Edgewater Coach Bill Gierke, Schwartz lost 20 pounds in the offseason so he could be recruited as a running back. The 5-feet-11, 225-pound senior said his role on the team this year will be more a running back's than a fullback's.
