Another Centerville LB with interest in tOSU, Tyler compares himself to A.J. Hawk and his style of play. As a junior, he registered 107 tackles, 24 TFL, and eight sacks. He is hearing from Ohio State, Michigan, Pitt, Wisconsin, Purdue, Boston College, Maryland, Syracuse, and Notre Dame.

I saw Tyler play last year and was pretty impressed. It was against Northmont and they run the spread, so it was tough to get a real good impression. However, he does have a great frame, size, speed, and was good in coverage. Might keep an eye on him and I'm pretty sure he was the GWOC defensive player of the year as a junior and the last junior to do that in the GWOC turned out alright I would say.

Film.

My take: Solid looking player...probably a decent MAC prospect. The film is a little tought to judge because of the height from which it is shot. Tyler seems to get through the holes well on blitzes, but doesn't always find the ball carrier. Hopefully more film will be available soon.

By BK...Tyler still only has an offer from Indiana, but is also interested in Michigan, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State and West Virginia.

Centerville's Replogle verbally commits to Indiana

Linebacker who drew comparisons with OSU's Hawk glad to have committed to Hoosiers early.

CENTERVILLE | There will be no comparing Tyler Replogle to A.J. Hawk at Ohio State.

Replogle, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker from Centerville High School, as was Hawk, has decided to play his college football at Indiana University. He gave the Hoosiers a verbal commitment Monday.
He is considered one of the state's top linebacker prospects. As a junior he was the Greater Western Ohio Conference Eastern Division defensive player of the year, a Division I first team pick in the Dayton Daily News Division I All-Area team and a second-teamer on the Associated Press D-I All-Southwest District team.
"I wanted to play Big 10 football and I really liked Indiana," said Replogle. "I like Coach (head coach Terry) Hoeppner and his staff. I think I'll fit in good in their defensive schemes."
Replogle had 138 tackles as a junior, 6.5 sacks and 21 tackles for loss. "When the college scouts came in they asked me to compare Tyler to A.J. when he was in high school," said Centerville coach Ron Ullery. "It really isn't fair. They're different players. Tyler isn't as fast or athletic as A.J. was in high school. But he has the same old-school attitude where he plays hard every second of every game and every practice. He's the same way in the weight room. He only has one speed. Sometimes he's almost too intense.
"I think Indiana is a great choice for him. He'll fit well in what they do and be a great college player there."
Replogle said he had gotten some interest from Ohio State as well as Michigan and Michigan State. When Indiana offered he saw no reason not to take the scholarship. "There was really no recruiting pressure. But I'm glad I committed early so I don't have to worry about it," he said. "I went to seven camps at different colleges this summer and pretty much knew here I fit in with other linebackers. Indiana had what I wanted."
Replogle has a 3.34 grade-point average and scored a 1200 on his SAT.
