Everyone, I am new to this site but have followed OSU for years. I am the proud papa of the 07' recruit Ethan Thies of Sewell, NJ. Does anyone know who from OSU is the recruiter assigned to him or if there is anyone?

Ethan is just finishing his junior year, we just made an unofficial visits to UVA and Louisville and Penn State. Just want you to know his stock among D-1 schools is rising. He is listed currently as 6'6 and 292lbs and strong as a horse. Ethan should be named to all district and all conference OT this year. Ethan carries an honors curriculum and a 3.98 GPA. I hope someone from OSU is listening.

You all do a great job in this forum, keep up the outstand work, comments, etc. GO BUCKEYES!!!

Well first you should go about sending some game-film out to the coaches and let them know you are really interested, they will like the GPA, then just see what they think, keep in contact and let them know that you are wanting to come to camp next year, b/c that is where a lot of the o-lineman earn their offers.

Great to see you on this board, hope everything turns out well for you and goodluck to you and your son.

Welcome Mr. Thies! Glad that you are a reader and most importantly, a BIG BUCKEYE FAN!
I would imagine that in your neck of the woods that Coach Daniels would be the main recruiter. He usually does the PA and NY areas, I know. I would expect to see Coach Bollman around some as well, since Ethan is an O-Liner. Definitely try to make it to camp this summer. That's where lots of kids get noticed.
Best of luck to Ethan and your family. Let's hope that if everything works out he can be a part of the '07 class.

Yes, he has received coorespondence from OSU but in general forms, nothing specific like he has received from schools like Virginia, Maryland, Boston College, Alabama, Texas and Florida State, that is why I was asking for a specific name of a coach assigned for NJ area.

Thanks for all your help. I do most of the leg work for my sons and getting their information out to colleges, I have been sending out bios on him since last year.

I'll keep you all informed!

I will continue to keep on this site and let you all know of his progress. His season is still on going, he was just selected as 1st. team All Olympic Conference, rated as the second most difficult conference in the state of NJ and was 1st team selection to the All South Jersey squad. We are unsure of what camp to go to this summer, I will check out OSU. Thanks for the input.

Ethan has an offer from Army and recently visited according to Rivals...unfortunately Ethan's father passed away. Our condolences go out to Ethan and his family.
