Does anyone know why we're going OOS to pick up DL prospects when there is a plentitude in OH?
Outside of Robert Rose, I can't think of one DL prospect from Ohio who is definitely worthy of a Buckeye offer. Buckeye verbal Jake Ballard will most likely play TE or OT at Ohio State. Kallen Wade and John Ryan were borderline offerees, but both of them have already committed to Notre Dame. Bill Nagy is another borderline guy who might get an offer down the road. Lamar Mapp has grades issues. Even though his brother is a Buckeye, Darius Smith is not yet receiving much interest. Martin Channels, Xylon Purkiss, Torrance Nicholson love Ohio State, but are probably MAC-level talents. While there are plenty of bodies, the talent level is a bit down this year.

Warren Raider is really high on Tony Reed as well. Regardless, Whitmores other offers confirm his talent level.

He looks like a nice prospect and I wouldn't mind having him but we are already loaded at DE with the 3 W's coming in. We will probably get Rose and have a good shot at Dublin,Matthews, and Wesley.
