Most people know Steve Brown, a 6-1, 200-pound athlete from Columbus East high school (Ind.), for the success he had running the ball during his junior year. What most don’t know is that it was his 10 interceptions as a sophomore defensive back that caught the attention of most college recruiters.
Brown has made several visits to Notre Dame and is interested in them. Brown has offers from Indiana, Illinois, Purdue and Nebraska. Ohio State, Michigan and Kansas State are interested.

5/7 (GBW)

Steve turned in a 4.39 electronically timed 40 at the Nike Combine in Ann Arbor. According to the GBW staff, Steve dominated the DB drills. He did get some one-on-one time with Coach Carr and may have received an offer.

Offer this guy NOW! Outside of Small and Campbell, there doesn't seem to be many osu-worthy Ohio Db's, and this guy sounds like a freak!

Let's not join the party late like we seem to do with every other oos player...

JT doesn't offer everyone he thinks would be a good fit, he offers those that fit into his unique system of only offering those he thinks he can bring in. He also will wait to see how other guys like Chappel perform in camps before offering. Unlike UM and ND who are desperate for DBs of this caliber, JT's approach has landed fantastic DBs since he's been here.
