    HC Ryan Day (National Champion)

Being able to maintain a semblance of that old school, dominant depth you used to need to win a title will absolutely pay huge dividends.

2026 OH LB CJ Sanna is a Buckeye!!!

3 star, in state linebackers seem to do well at OSU, great pull.

    DE C.J. Hicks (National Champion)

That's why his feet are staggered. A lot of edge guys line up like that because your read (first) step puts you in a perfect position to transition to a pass rush or holding your ground/gap against the run. Three point stance allows for a better base no doubt (fact), but a staggered 2 point...

Assistant DL Coach Tony Washington Jr. (Official Thread)

Isn't he the guy that scored on Jameis' infamous backwards throw/fumble?

QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, New York Jets)

This, slow processing of the defense will make a lot of throws look inaccurate. He's not exactly a sniper either but the culprit is his inability to dissect the defense at a an elite speed.

    2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

Something I thought about today: There's a lot of Michigan fans in comment sections across the internets talking about how this year's title is BS because OSU needed a 12 team playoff to win it. Thought that point was incredibly ironic, given that their 97 "title" would be non-existent in any...

    DC Matt Patricia (Official Thread)

I will say, I do think (or maybe hope) that Day learned his lesson with the Coombs situation, promoting guys within (or hiring your buddies) because they're "your guys" made Meyers tenure much less successful than it should have been. Other than Coombs, Day's coordinator hires have been largely...

QB Kyle McCord (transfer to Syracuse, Philadelphia Eagles)

McCord's absolute void of mobility, along with his inability (or unwillingness possibly) to pull the trigger on open routes down field were ultimately the differences to me. Too safe, and too many points left of the field. Will doesn't have a particularly strong arm by any means but he was...

More impressive tOSU true freshman performance leading to a national title?

Kinda how I see it, we never saw this year's O without JS but there were enough playmakers where I think they still could've put points up. Lose Clarett for a few games and the 02 offense looked damn near incompetent.

I just hope the receivers keep actually blocking

2025 January through Fall Camp BMW Thread

Tressel had a top ten Defense every year besides his first and 2004. In hindsight that was an easy thing to take for granted as a fan.

    HC Ryan Day (National Champion)

I think (and hope) Coach is comfortable being himself going forward, the tough guy act was weird but clearly driven by what he thought was necessary to beat Michigan. I don't think the cheating on scUMs end helped with the psychological end of things either. Seemed like he was forcing himself...

    CB Davison Igbinosun (National Champion)

No doubt, there's a balance to strike, certainly would like him back this year. He's a good corner.

    CB Davison Igbinosun (National Champion)

I think it kinda cuts both ways. He's obviously a bit too physical, but show me a good corner and I'll show you a guys who's physical with his opponent. Needs to get better at getting away with it more than anything. Would definitely like to see the CBs next year turn their heads more.

RB Quinshon Judkins (National Champion, Cleveland Browns)

Yea, with a new QB next year, and a new set of tackles, Q would be a huge piece.

LB Coach James Laurinaitis (2x B1G DPOY, 2006 Nagurski, 2007 Butkus, 2008 Lott, 3x All-American, OSU HOF, National Champion)

Really happy to see JL be part of a title team. Few players deserved one as much as he did (and he and his classmates were damn close). Obviously not quite the same, but cool to see regardless.

    Lou Holtz (Official Thread)

I thought it was funny... for about five minutes. The best was was when SVP joined them and did a better impression than the supposed impersonator.
