most late round RB's compete to get PT on special teams... i think terrell davis was a 6th or 7th rounder and made the broncos by busting his ass on kickoff coverage. i can't see maurice being all that excited to be on the 2nd string punt team. also, i wonder if he would run to tell ESPN...

agreed, gbear.... i think the coaches want the top four on the field.. as long as they feel like the player is capable of making the switch. plenty of talent at DT, but maybe patterson is too good to keep off the field, and he's the DT most capable of switching to DE... kinda like moving...
