What I mean is, that the University should pay for his tuition and board out of its own non-scholarshop funds, and make a bookkeeping transfer if he's approved, but I'll bet that's forbidden by the NCAA too, and if so, it's a disgrace to OSU (and hundreds of other universities) to allow itself...

Most important - is he attending classes? That's a hell of a situation if a sports scheduling and marketing organization is permitted to interfere with a young man's education, and if that's what the NCAA is doing, then it's time to raise a ruckus about it.
