Going to 16 increases the number of games for the playoff owner. Getting rid of CCG gets rid of the game for whoever owns those right. Big ten would need to renegotiate their contract with fox/cbs/nbc (they also get half of the CCGs). I don’t think NBC or CBS is happy with the contract right now...

Id be ok with this. You move the first round up to the week after CCG and the next round to the Saturday before Christmas. Then you’ve got 8-12 days off before the new years semis.
