Alshon Jefferies came from Calhoun County, a Class A Div 1 school and he's about as good as it gets as far as a receiver. His brother Shamir is also going to USC. Carvers Bay always puts out decent players, most notably the Geathers kids (Robert, Clifton, Kwame). Talent is more prevalent in...
Class AAAA Div 1 is the biggest followed by,
Class AAAA Div 2
Class AAA
Class AA
Class A Div 1
Class A Div 2
Here's the entire state championship game Clowney played in this year fwiw:

Um Yea, we didn't play South Point in last years playoffs as they were a 4A Div2 team and we are a 3A team. They bumped down a division this year. Also Everett is not 5'11" 170, that was his measurables the summer before his junior year. He's every bit of 6'1" 185 now, and I too predict he...
This is exactly why I seldom post here, if someone brings up something worth while to discuss it gets modded if it doesn't fit perfectly in the little parameters of what some deem acceptable. No one was bashing the kid, we just had differing opinions on whether the kid is NFL ready right now.
Funny how with all that talent he couldn't beat little old Myrtle Beach and their pass first offense last week. Everett Golson took the game over and oh yea, the mighty first defensive end taken in this years draft got doubled in the second half by a 5'6" 170 lbs. running back and neutralized...
Everett did sprout up a little over the past year, he's not at the height most scouting services have him listed. He's right at 6' - 6'1" now and he's filling out too at about 180-185.
He plays the Cello. I will assume, as I don't talk to him or his coach about music, he is interested in performing, playing, writing and the whole musical theory aspect. I'm told he could have gone to Berkeley School of Music if he wanted to, but last I checked they have no storied football...
I'm so happy for this young man making what most of us feel is the best decision for him and his future. I thought for sure he would wait until Monday though.
Golson vs. Clowney for the 3A title next Saturday. Could not ask for anything better, two of the best players in the state on opposite sides of the ball. This is Everett's third straight year leading the Seahawks to the state championship game.

His other option is Carolina and let's be honest, how long will Butch stick around with the current mess being made there? Everett is not a fool and has come to face the fact he may never see the basketball court at Carolina, but very well could in South Bend. Lots of factors are at play here...
Spoke with Everett Thursday and he will make a quick decision once the season is over. He enjoyed South Bend last weekend and the music program there is very appealing to both him and his parents. He will be in Clemson this upcoming weekend, expect a decision shortly after. I personally feel...
Totally agree. This is why the SEC signs bigger television contracts with the networks (CBS & ESPN) and the Big Ten stays stuck in their leather helmet, nostalgic traditions to the detriment of the conference. I'm sure this affects recruiting to some extent as well, certainly when a young star...
In Woody's defense, he played far fewer games per year back then. If I was to guess he only played 10-11 most seasons including the bowl game. Perhaps some of the history buffs or old timers could help us out with that nugget.
I would say Everett's back. He threw for 7 TD's (10/13-281) in last nights opening round of the playoffs, and sat the entire second half.
