I wouldn't put Peterson on the same level as Ginn (yet). Peterson plays in the B12, on a team loaded this year with talent. When everyone leaves next year for Oklahoma we'll see how good Peterson really is.
The cap issue is an interesting point, however, a playoff team that is close to the cap would spend less money on the Nuge than on your typical player. The Steelers seem to be the best possibility for Nuge, as they are only 2.7 under the cap this year and Jeff Reed isn't exactly the best kicker...
I hope MLB cracks down on this, although they probably won't. It'd be refreshing to see pitching dominate the game as it once did. I remember Reggie Jackson saying once if he played against a guy who had a high 4 or 5 run ERA that he knew that he'd have a huge night. Your average pitcher...
