Even with TV money, I don't see how the MAC stays in business. TV shot of the stands at last night's Ohio U at Toledo game and you could count all the fans between snaps.
OK, OK, as we used to say about Reds owner, Marge Schott, "If I had a dog that ugly, I'd shave its ass and make it walk backwards."
So another two, three years in purgatory for me for putting that out there. At least I'll have some BP folks to talk to while there.
Perhaps a result of what happened in the 2024 bowl game when the center was switched due to discipline - yeah, I know it was losing Brown in the 1st qtr -
I hear you. My own take is that these guys are just showing up. There's no real path to the payoffs, much less the Super Bowl. Work to remain healthy and develop a "wait till next year" mentality.
Tradition: To the Bengals it's wait until the season starts to finally settle signing. As a result of not signing, important people won't be in camp and won't be ready when the season begins. Lose two or three early games because of this. Be cheap as hell. Demand more money from Hamilton County...
I was there. Scary game until the middle of the fourth quarter. A play in which the refs should have blown the whistle was allowed to continue resulting in Mike Vrabel ripping the ball free and running for a 40+ yard TD.
I've watched more than one Michigan team go from opening day clown circus to relevant by The Game. Think Brady Hoke's last two teams. Transfers and freshmen "get it" after 11 games. I think it will be a tight game until the fourth when the Buckeye D depth wears IU out.
The Big Ten could help themselves and NU by insisting that the NC game be in Chicago every four years - breaking the hold that the sunbelt C of C has on college football.
