I thought they were pretty damn dominant on day 1 this year. You knew what they had from the start. We don’t discuss OL when they do their job only when they suck. Shouldn’t have many questions on the OL from year to year at a place like OSU. I feel like there are more questions this year...
I hear ya, but if he’s projected as top 15 @ his position, he’s going to project as a top 100 talent… so why slow play it? Identify the top in-state talent and go after them early. Don’t let ND get such a leg up or the perception that OSU slow-plays in-state talent creep into his mind.
Everybody got jokes? I assumed it was mom since dad was mentioned, but wanted to be sure. Should help with mom if he does eventually get an OSU offer.
Jesse Owens? Never heard of him.
My only point is that you shouldn’t have to hold your breath at a place like OSU if the OL recruiting had been better in 2 of the last 3 years/classes. I think the 3 in-state boys they brought in this year were huge for Frye, but he’s playing catch-up with the lack of numbers and star power from...
Agreed. But to get to a quality five that can actually start and perform at an OSU-type level you need depth in numbers. All it takes is an injury or two and the inability to pick up a 1st down on short yardage or that extra second for McCord to get through his reads disappears and the struggle...
It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to carry 10+ stud WR’s when 3 or 4 actually play and we struggle to field a solid 2 deep on the OL. Need to allocate a few more resources (bodies) to the OL room.
I just came on to ask the same question…..lol. I’d be down w/ the bubble screen if we added that wrinkle with Henderson, Pryor, Hayden or X getting the pitch.
I’d say the KO return fumble out of bounds at the 1 yd line and the ensuing safety f’d them the most, but yeah, we’re not letting Grinch and the defense off the hook either. They were pretty dreadful.
freaking head hunting bullshit. I've seen 20 of those called this season with less forcible contact to head neck area. had no idea where the ball was and went straight to the head. and to overturn it? changed the game.
