Maybe - I certainly didn't have much choice. That said, I do think it has a lot to do with that last part - he was refusing anything like treatment that takes him out of the racing. It's something that his family will have to live with forever now.

So I reiterate - what the hell were they doing? You're not anywhere near normal when you have this severe of a case of pneumonia. Been there and got the tshirt. Maybe he refused treatment - but his family hopefully at least tried to slow him down and get him seen/treated. And if a doctor did...

That's not a fun way to go, and you wonder what the hell they were doing in the days leading up to his death. I've had severe pneumonia and been in a very similar position where I ended up in the hospital for a week. This didn't suddenly happen.
