All I will say is this. You are not beating this OSU team without a QB that can consistently make small window throws. So if Mendoza is the only one capable I feel great about going back to back
I agree with a lot of what you said. You can't expect the defense to play perfect and expect to win the next 3 games. I dont want to put this out there, but at anytime a guy can slip, or get tripped and then your in trouble.
I do kinda disagree that IU exposed anything. (Ok maybe the right...
I have been on record saying Kenholtz should go to UCF with Frost, or now sure he can go to USF.
My main point is Hartline needs to be thrown into the deep cold water. And he either sinks or swims. No life rafts.
I am done with this. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
But yes someone did mention having Hartline take Kenholtz, a couple Wrs, and some OL men with him.
We are talking about a guy that is considered one of the greatest assistant coach recruiters of all time. But, your right if he about to get a 5 star reciever, he will just call up Day and offer him up.
Again remember this guy took the job when OSU is tyring to go back to back. And thats OK...
So let me get this straight. You want to gift wrap 4 and 5 star players that OSU has invested millions into and give them to a coach that has been learning the inner workings of your organization for almost a decade? Also at that point all those 4 and 5 star guys will have a chip on their...
Again I disagree. A guy like hartline doesn't take a job if he doesn't think he can compete. WTF is he gong to work 90hr weeks for? To fucking lose?
I guess when Cignetti took the Indiana job, he just knew he was always going to be second rate.... he just wished upon a star that he could...
We dont get any recruits from FL? Wtf are you talking about. Listen I wish the world was a better place. Its not. Go read about all the crazy shenanigans that happen while these 18year olds are being recruited, its nuts.
I wish Hartline well, sincerely, but it's sink or swim for him. Thats...
Of course you take pride, and you should. You sound like a great person and the type of person a man would want to work for.
This isn't the small business world. This is The Ohio State University. A multi billion dollar affair. With other schools that are also billion dollar entities...
Everyone in division 1 ball is our enemy man. Every team out there can take recruits. You need to be a fucking savage to compete at this level. I was hoping Day had become a hardcore savage after that loss to TTUN last year. I hope I am right.
A 40 yarder? He missed an extra point essentially. Some people can't handle pressure. It is what it is. He obviously shuts down when the pressure is on, this has been proven, and in my experience you don't get better at handling it as time goes on. Its just a bad job to have if you crumble...
Should have made Hartline leave ASAP after the announcement. IMO.
Also I expected the team to be hung over after the ass whooping they put on Michigan in the cold weather.
The good news is they get a few weeks to get back on track, healed up, and Sayin can watch the Indiana tape 1 thousand...
I 100% agree Day doesn't think Sayin is infallible. Day basically took Sayin’s mind out of the game in the second half. Most plays they cut the field in half for him, or he literally had 1 read. ( he could have also run, which would have won us the game....)
You don't run like 5 or 6 boots...
I think our problem is Sayin had a near 80% completion percentage all year. So we thought he was infallible. We forgot how hard it is for a freshman to play at this level.
Guys Sayin is a first year starter, Indiana made sure to try and rattle him. They did. He still has a lot to learn. He...
Your not all wrong, and I have respect for you, but the guy missed a 27yd field goal dude. Hes gonna get some blame. Also I would have loved to put it on this defense to get us the ball back or hold it up for OT. All day every day
