It would be different, for sure. But that doesn't mean it should be appreciated any less.
Different isn't just bad either. You know what else is different?
-Beating four top 7 teams in a row (two of them from the godforsaken SEC)
-Beating three top 5 teams in a row
-Beating five top 5 teams...
Holy Buckeye is very unique because, that game as a whole kinda sucked, and that Purdue team was straight ass, but the play itself was magical and literally the entire season was just floating in the air for what seemed like an eternity.
It's just so different than the other two, and I don't...
1) Jack's scoop n score
2) 85 yards through the heart of the south
3) Holy Buckeye
Those are pretty indisputably the top 3, I think. The rankings themselves are up for debate though.
I was just 6 years old but I distinctly remember watching that Tennessee / Miss State game with my Dad pulling hard for Tennessee to lose.
One of my earliest football watching memories, actually. The others were my Dad raging during The Game nearly every year
Yeah, after beating Bama in 2014 I was never so certain of a victory as I was about beating Oregon in the Championship...that team was on a mission, playing at another level and nothing was going to stop them.
This feels exactly the same right now. If we play our game and stay healthy, it's ours.
I did too, specifically because I have not believed in his late-game management/decision making and didn't think we (or anyone) could blow out four top 10 teams in a row en route to a National Championship...
Halfway there so far...
Oh, and Day & Ohio State are facing an unprecedented gauntlet...
