I was surprised Birm on his podcast said Shazier was the best LB he's seen in the past 20 years. All due respect to Shazier, Hawk was the best LB I've seen in that time
Just watched the clip of the 05 Texas game that 11w posted. Youboty really should've picked that ball ball off in the end zone before they kicked a FG
Think we're going to have to be more aggressive this year and take more chances. When basically half the defense is first round picks you can play it safe
If I was a team I'd take Sonny Styles first of the 3 defensive players. He's a sure thing. Both Reese (only really played 1 season, only really made plays for half of that) and Downs (lack of measurables) would make me nervous if were talking top 5-10 picks
It's a bummer all these other guys like Witt, Griffin, Acuna, McGonigle have accepted the long extension and Elly is the one guy who turned it down. Typical Reds luck
I know I'm the old man here but it's nice to have a chance to win in today's game when pitchers who are dominating like Skenes get pulled after 5 innings and 77 pitches. Back in the olden days he would have thrown 9 innings and struck out 13 in an easy win
This is why I don't really understand taking a pitcher at the top of the draft like the Reds did with Burns. He's their 4th starter and best case he throws like 140 innings?
