If last year and a split national championship can't be the force behind a playoff, then I am not sure what can. There is always another tweak that still won't prevent argument when 3+ teams are deserving.
Most people already have their minds made up. No investigation, no matter how thorough or conclusive, will change most of their minds.
It's already lose-lose.
The fact that ESPN feels the need to contiously post articles, in an attempt to validate their story, makes it obvious that they know there are major holes in their report.
Who know's what is true --- but one thing is sure --- ESPN has no clue what's fact and/or what's fiction in their own...
This guy is a true moron....what a hypocrite....he blasts the OSU football program, but makes his living off OSU articles and other college programs. I love how sports journalists think they are the saviors of sports.
This would require ESPN having an interest in portraying the positive side of the OSU program. Not going to happen.

One thing is for sure -- ESPN is playing cut throat. They are backing themselves into a corner where they are going to have to prove OSU cheats or else they will lose credibility.
I can not figure out their agenda. Is one of the higher ups at ESPN a Miami grad still fighting to get the 2002...
Who are these people -- someone with zero knowledge of the situation associating this with SMU and the death penalty. Talk about jump to a huge conclusion.
This crap reminds me of the shark attack story's, road rage, flu vaccine -- the media is in complete spin control and once again blowing...
Every journalist wants to be the next Woodward and Bernstein, and break another Watergate. If you have ever read All The Presidents Men, The Post balanced checking/rechecking sources versus trying to be the first to break the story. Today's media could care less about ensuring they have...
I have heard of rogue boosters and even boosters working behind the scenes with a coach refusing to acknowledge --- but a Head Coach taking the lead on setting up players with free cars and jobs. That's a tough one for me to buy at face value.
Also, why would Tressel arrange a shady car deal...
This looks like mudslinging solely based on the players that the author's pursued --- Mo C, Cooper, and Maldonado? Obviously the author's wrote the story based on a meeting with Mo C and then desperately sought other people to back up his story. The key is they needed to find RELIABLE sources...
