It definitely is easier to go up and wrestling closer to your natural weight is trending in a good way. Unfortunately sometimes the cut is necessary when roster openings dictate it. I had to cut a lot until my senior year because I had a roster of future All Americans to beat out for a starting...

Bingo. Overall the OL play and recruiting has marginally improved imo...but those games demonstrate we haven't hit on a really elite OL unit in a bit. I get that the two games were against elite defensive fronts, but we need elite OL play and that's the standard.

Yeah I'm perfectly good with Bowen's approach recruiting at OL. We're casting a wider net and not botching the national recruiting, but I do hope we start doing better at getting worthwhile OL portal targets. Really like this offer, hopefully the offer puts us in the thick of his recruitment.

Really nice pickup. Watched his state finals match and my quick takeaways are that he's got some room on the frame for good weight (but likely on the smaller side of the HWT class), moves very well circling with his opponent and changing levels, and appears pretty decent wrestling on the mat...

He's pretty underrated imo, reminds me of another borderline 4 star WR we got from Cali who's last name rhymes with suave. Not just those two attributes, but his seamlessness in and out of routes, polish and build. WANT.
