Diebler may be recruiting well but it won’t matter if they make the transition to good college players. He is embarrassingly out of his league. I was in favor of hiring him but it was clearly a mistake. Bjork needs to make the tough decision after the season. OSU should be a tourney team 3...
Yeah….we could have had Dusty May but we felt we had a decent gamble for cheap with Diebler. He doesn’t show that instinct or vibe for winning close ones. Hope he miraculously turns it around.
Agree…..even before Knowles left there seemed to be a continuous tension in not only game plan and prep but also in recruiting activity. He was / is a very smart defensive mind but is not a good program guy.
I think “at best turned a blind eye” is a bit harsh in my opinion. But your point I agree with. Penn State can’t afford to touch Fitzgerald. I can see PF at Wisconsin or Iowa someday.
At this point, I’m not sure PSU has much of a choice. It’s not the destination job that they always thought it was. Smith may be the best option considering they broke the bank to buy out Franklin. They’ve already lost all their recruits for next season.
What’s even funnier is Nebraska...
I remember Schiano getting in Day’s grille a couple seasons ago because our punter ran for a 1st down…..after Schiano called a punt block.
I wouldn’t mind another TD just to stick it to him. <note: I did like him when he was here>
We are tanking his chances today vs a shitty Rutgers team by allowing a walk-on WR and a strange gameplan to make Sayin look average. Next week is 1 by all costs even if it’s 1 point. But today is a chance to show a little flash
