    McMullen Released by the Eagles

Yeah, it's really a shame we have a quarterback who lead us to a national title. It's a real shame we had bums like Hoying and Germaine.

4th round, #112 overall, to Pittsburgh for Joe Bauserman who Tibor referred to.

    Draft

Drew Anderson to the Reds in the 13th round[#378 overall]

    Draft

From what I've heard, yes. Like I said, he was still striking guys out this year(although there's more to Ks then just heat of course). I think that's what the scouts were looking for--TJ surgery doesn't really scare anyone anymore and he's still just a year removed, so when they saw he was...

    Draft

He's a lefty. They wouldn't waste(or at least I hope they wouldn't) a 3rd round pick on a relief pitcher. I'm sure he'll be a starter and they hope he develops in the classic lefty starter type(Glavine/Moyer/etc). He's sorta similar to Jeremy Sowers, who the Indians picked with the #6 overall...

    Smarty Jones chokes!

If Smarty Jones would have won(and he came pretty darn close) he would be every bit as worthy as the other triple crown winners. No, he's wouldn't have been Secretariat--nobody is Secretariat. I am no horseracing expert but he is easily the best horse in the Triple Crown I have seen in 10 years...

    Draft

He was B10 Frosh of the year in 2002, B10 pitcher of the year in 2003. Blew out his elbow pitching at Minnesota in 03 and made a speedy comeback. He didn't pitch much this year but it was impressive that he did come back and while he was not quite his old self, there were flashes of it. He...

    Smarty Jones chokes!

How can the horses be near Secretariat or Cigar, they haven't had a chance to prove themselves yet. Secretariat set time records at the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness but didn't win them running away. It was the Belmont that made Secretariat the legend he is today. And of course he won a...

What is the meaning of courage?

Anyone who stands up to red bastards is a hero of mine.

    Smarty Jones chokes!

His undefeated record and his more impressive victories. From what I recall, War Emblem was a speedy front runner and so nobody really thought he'd fare so well in the Belmont to begin with. Plus Smarty had great storylines: almost killed himself, murdered trainer, trainer and jockey weren't...

    Smarty Jones chokes!

I don't feel bad for the horse, he didn't deserve to win. But I like the sport and there has never been a Triple Crown winner in my lifetime, and I would like to see one, and I root for the horse that's going for one, be it Smarty or War Emblem or Real Quiet or Charismatic or Funny Cide or...

The Belmont, Triple Crown and Smarty Jones

I have been behind Smarty since before the Derby but I just keep watching the Spectacular Bid highlights and it spooks me.

Colorado AD (partially) owns liquor store near campus?!?!

I'm with Mili. I don't hold the buisnessman responsible for what is done with his products after he sells them. Eliminating liquor stores is not going to stop kids from drinking and I don't think it's his fault if 21 year olds buy it and then distribute it to other kids.

I don't appreciate the racist comments in my reputation grading

What a surprise. You come here and rip on Buckeye players, attack people in the poltics forum, and then you're outraged somebody offends you. The tears are just welling up right now.

    Notre Dame Schedule

Since when is it a school's job to graduate players[or any student for that matter]? Isn't it the player's job to graduate if they desire to? Unless OSU is purposefully flunking football players, its up to the players to graduate. Woody used to always pester them about it of course...but many...

RB Eddie George - (1995 Heisman winner, CFB HOF, 4x Pro Bowl, HC Bowling Green)

Did you mean NFL players in your question? If not, then Luke Fickell, Steve Tovar, and Jeff Uhlenhake come to mind. Bo Pelini too.

He does, there's a picture of him in a game program from this year or last graduating.

    2004 Preseason

I refuse to buy any that doesn't have a Buckeye on the cover. The Sporting News one I was looking at in the grocery store last night picked OSU to win the B10 but still had a scummer on the cover. There's no way I'm going to buy crap like that. I usually end up buying Lindy's and Athlon.
