Kraig Appleton (former WR Wisconsin Badgers)

Good point but I don't have anything against what he has said, just remarking on how weird it is that a guy can have a leader and eliminate them, then have them as his leader again then eliminate them again. Is it for real or is it just inconsistencies between different articles coming from...

Kraig Appleton (former WR Wisconsin Badgers)

First he says he likes schools like LSU, OSU, and a few others but not Illinois. Then he says Illinois is his slight leader. Now he says his top three are OSU, TTU, and LSU. Big question is are those his final three? Kinda weird that Illinois is his leader, then eliminated, then his leader...

    DE Melvin Fellows (official thread)

It's from their insider on Rivals. On another board I have a sig bet with an Illini fan that we get Hall and Fellows and not Zook. Poor chump.

'09 FL DB Brandon McGee (Miami-FL Verbal)

I mean he has the characteristics of a cornerback who is a good cover corner but can also do great things when he has the ball in his hands too. Is it just coincidence that most of the examples of a guy like that who pop into my head happen to be great? He can be another Chris Gamble for us.

'09 FL DB Brandon McGee (Miami-FL Verbal)

With Hunter, Banks and Clarke as possible corner commits and Corey Brown who is a sure thing to commit, I'm not worried if we lose out on a corner target this year, even a good one who is a top 100 player, but McGee would be a huge addition. I think the recruiting sites like scout and rivals...

    DE Melvin Fellows (official thread)

Didn't take long either. The UA game is only a year old and last year the USAA game in San Antonio blew that one away in terms of talent up and down the rosters, but the shift has definitely occurred in ESPN's favor really quickly. Not many at all going to San Antonio this year it seems...

The Buckeyes' Top Prospects for 2009 - Post Spring Game Edition

I think Hyde will commit to us sometime early next month. The writeup on him seems a little misleading.

    '09 OH DB D.J. Hunter

Yeah he sounds like he could be a good fit for Whitner and Russell's star position and be a starting SS for us. But he's definitely got the speed and hips to be a CB with some work. Probably depends where he fits in with a DB class that includes Givens, Barnett, Wood, and possibly Emilien...

'09 MD CB Darrell Givens (Penn State Signee - switched to Rutgers)

Pleasant surprise. Here's hoping we add some more bluechippers today.

2008 tOSU Spring Game (4/19) & Practice Discussion

Washington and Bauserman looking good on that drive.

RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

Scout and Bucknuts both list Berry as being offered by us.

'09 OH OL Chris Freeman (Missouri Signee)

Well Josh Kerr will be the backup LT in 2009 and if Adams goes down then Shugarts can play left tackle with someone else like Browning or Hall stepping in on the right side.

2008 tOSU QB discussion (official thread)

I think Henton can play out of his mind and Boeckman can stink in camp and Todd will still be the opening day starter. I don't see anyway Tressel benches Boeckman for a guy who has seen almost no meaningful minutes. If Boeckman loses his job it would be during the season due to terrible...

DT Shawntel "Shaq" Rowell (West Virginia signee)

where'd you guys get the spring roster from? I went to the link on the official sit and it said it wouldn't work. I tried on 3 different computers, a PC at my house, a my laptop mac, and the imac at school, so I figure it's the site.

2008 tOSU Offensive Line discussion (official thread)

I don't know as much about the players' abilities as some of you guys. Who do you guys think the "best pass blocker" is out of Browning, Smith, and Rehring, etc. - all our RT candidates? I'm not gonna include Adams and Shugarts b/c I figure it'll take too much getting up to speed on blocking...

scum RB Fitzgerald Toussaint (official thread)

Carlos Hyde and Fitz Toussaint at RB would make me happy this year. It will be interesting to monitor his situation with the summer camps.

    DB Jamie Wood (Official Thread)

I like to see us get athletic safeties like Wood who aren't afraid to tackle. Good pickup by the coaches, welcome aboard Jamie.

    DE/LB Jonathan Newsome (Birmingham Stallions)

You guys got his junior year stats? I can't find them anyplace so far.

    CBF40'S Look at '09 recruiting

My perspective I think we get these guys: RB-Golden, Toussaint. OOS guys like Hyde might pop up, but these are the top 2 in Ohio FB-Homan WR-Fields plus 1 or 2 more. DE-Newsome, Carradine, plus 1 more. DT-Adams, Simon LB-Klein, Whiting, Studlien CB-Barnett, Hunter S-Turner, Wood OL-Hall...

    WR Chris Fields (official thread)

yes, Chris looks a lot like Teddy Ginn in his return game highlights. Strides aren't quite as long though. I can't wait to see us using Fields, Posey, Stoney, and Thomas in our WR corps.
