'11 PA TE Ben Koyack (Notre Dame Signee)

I think they would be nuts (no pun intended) to turn down Koyack in any scenario, especially during April. Guy is the elite tight end in this class and is a future NFL player with first or second round draft potential. You don't turn down guys like that.

OL Tommy Brown (transfer to Akron)

Good to have a Firestone Falcon in scarlet and gray. Looks like we found 5 OLinemen this year (Bobek, Walker, Brown, Underwood, Carter). The latter four being HUUUGE maulers.

OL Brian Bobek (Iowa St grad transfer from Minnesota)

hopefully he can be a great center in the mold Bentley and Mangold. (Brewster, Stephanovich, and Datish weren't/aren't bad either).

QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

that, or maybe (hopefully) it's another situation like Dorian Bell who said he was gonna take his five officials and commit at the Army Game....but he ended up just committing after the spring game.

QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

yes, the USAAB is far superior a game IMO and I wish all the top guys would go to that game and that I'd be able to watch it every year....But I'd rather see Miller than him play in the better game and me not see him. It'll be fun to watch an Ohio kid dominate a bunch of southern guys too.

QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

I've missed at least 3 army bowls because of SEC college basketball. UA is on ESPN and it'll be on for sure.

QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

I'm glad he's playing in the UA game instead of the USAAB since the former is a nationally broadcast game - and the Army Bowl is only regional coverage (a lot of people get crappy college basketball games instead).

    DE Steve Miller (Official Thread)

I think Miller is definitely athletic enough to drop into coverage on certain plays, and with his first step and explosiveness no doubt he's a dream to play weakside end. If he gets big and strong enough he could play either spot I guess.

'11 OH DE Jesse Hayes (Wisconsin Signee)

It's incredible how loaded Ohio is with DEs this year.

'11 OH TE Ray Hamilton (Iowa Signee)

you reap what you sow i guess. Everyone grumbles when we miss out on tight ends who don't wanna come here b/c we don't throw to the TE, but if we don't throw to TEs then what's the big deal about missing out on ones who are really good? Are we gonna start throwing to them if they are good...

    Aaron Lynch (DE Jacksonville Jaguars)

When I said "not" i meant to type "now." Point being he's 6'6"/245 like Baldwin was as a junior, but his frame isn't a DT frame like Baldwin's is. He's more of a long lean guy. Good frame for a base end or a tight end.

    Aaron Lynch (DE Jacksonville Jaguars)

I don't think his frame is as hefty as Baldwin's. Lynch was listed at 6'3"/235, his coach said he's now 6'6"/245 and some schools are recruiting him as a linebacker (Alabama and their 3-4 defense). Baldwin was getting talk to play DT as he was 245 as a junior and 265 as a senior. Lynch is a...

well Carter is expected to get an offer if all goes well.

OL Brian Bobek (Iowa St grad transfer from Minnesota)

OG-Walker OG-Carter C-Bobek OT-??? could be a good OLine haul this year

'11 IN DT Kris Harley (Virginia Tech Signee)

I'm not saying that if the staff doesn't offer him then it's not without good reason......I'm just saying if we don't offer him and all those elite schools do, then what is it that we see that caused us not to offer? that's the head-scratcher. Last year everyone was baffled as to why we...

'11 IN DT Kris Harley (Virginia Tech Signee)

If a kid would love to play for you and they have offers from Oklahoma, USC, and maybe Florida and Alabama then it is a real head-scratcher if you don't offer him.....especially considering it's at a position of need.

'11 OH LB Jarrett Grace (Notre Dame Signee)

He says OSU talked MIKE linebacker with him, but there is a decent chance he could grow into a DE.

DL Chris Carter, Jr. (Official Thread)

Sounds like Tyrone Williams. Should have an official offer eventually as long as he doesn't screw around.
  19. keylime_5

'11 OH LB Jarrett Grace (Notre Dame Signee)

not surprising that they are taking their time with Grace so far considering his position is one that they already have 2 verbals in (if they want him as a DE), or is one that they have offers out to 4 big time prospects (DePriest, Vaughters, Thomas, and Caputo) if they want him as a linebacker.

OL Tommy Brown (transfer to Akron)

I have a soft spot for all the Akron kids. If my family never moved away from Ohio I would've went to Firestone high. Pulling for this guy to get an offer.
