I’m speculating but I think great friend Legend Bay bailing for TN on top of Hartline taking a HC job…..a lot hit him at once. I think Bey coming back into the fold and letting the emotions settle a bit is trending this back to us. JMO.

This is where NIL becomes huge. He can make more at OSU next year with guaranteed $$$ versus being a Day 2 or 3 pick, making $300k - $400k and competing for a roster spot. Coming back for guaranteed cash and an opportunity to improve his draft position will look like a nice opportunity.

I thought he struggled a bit against Michigan….he got caught up in traffic a few times that allowed Marshall big runs. Not trying to nit-pick, as I think he has had a solid year overall.

The unique thing about Hartline was his ability to recruit studs every year, with many knowing they’d have to “wait their turn”. Thats unusual in today’s landscape but just getting an invite to the WR room was seen as “elite”. And the development while you waited was usually well worth it...

Hartline is going to do everything by the book which is great…..he and Ryan Day have become best friends over the years, which helps a lot in this scenario. It’s going to be really fascinating to see which players and coaches follow him to USF. The thing to keep in mind, is if it’s “harmful”...

My son has turned into a nice little wrestler…..what I’d give to be close to Columbus to get him to some OSU matches…. For those close by…..don’t take it for granted. Big time college wrestling is so much fun…

I thought Hartline would walk into a P4 job personally……I’m not a huge fan of this move for him. Honestly, I thought he’d crush it at UF, FSU, or Miami if he wanted to wait it out a bit. USF is tricky……it’s a bigger school than most realize, but still not attractive enough to pull in 5 star...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think we'll see more volume if we get down multiple scores. Otherwise, I think Day has a formula he's very comfortable with. We definitely saw more tempo in the CFP last year though, so maybe it is something they break out down the stretch.

Arvell was a stud against Michigan.....he played a similar role against Washington, but Demond Williams tested Arvell too much. Underwood didn't attempt to beat Arvell when the spy was on. As stated before, he had a really nice TFL on an end-around as well. This creates a separate convo...

Cody Simon was really good and had the experience factor. Cody is also now starting for the Cardinals in NFL. It’s really that simple…..Arvell showed flashes when he got in last year, but I don’t think anyone could’ve projected this type of production from him. He’s a freak.

As someone with limited QB experience at a HS level…..I’ll say with some level of confidence…..Arvell was Underwood’s first read. Depending on where he lined up, and if he came in blitz, Underwood was reading Arvell #1…. Which is nasty when you think about Caleb Downs reeking havoc last year...

At least in the NFL, they put a “third party” on each teams communication system to make sure there’s no fuckery going on. I assume the Big 10 is the same way. That said, I was convinced in game, that OSU went to the old-school sideline play-call approach bc they thought there was fuckery...

I’m too old to recite each year the rules changed and under which coach…. But there was absolutely a time, when college games basically lasted 5 hours and the clock stoppages created an insane amount of possessions. So offenses rightfully wasted to exploit tired defenses and error on the side...
