Looking at the game from last season, OSU lost by 2 points and the difference was Wisconsin shot 25-28 from the foul line while OSU was 13-15. That's why life on the road in the B1G is hard, you can play good enough to win the game but lose at the foul line.

I wouldn't play the "what if" game with this team because there have been a handful of close games that OSU has won. I'd say the Buckeyes have prevailed more often than not in games that came down to the wire this season. They had to rally and had just a 1-point lead within the last 30 seconds...

Anytime you can win a game like this, it's a real boost for your tourney chances. I'm not going to go as far as call it a must win, but they definitely need to get more quality wins to help make the tournament, and this would be in that category.

Currently the Buckeyes are 8th place in the B1G. It used to be that 8th place in the B1G was really bad, but now you look at the standings and there are 10 teams worse off.

According to KenPom, right now OSU is the 39th-best team, with the 26th-best offense and 67th-ranked defense. They had the 50th ranked D, 30th-best O and finished #37 last season.
