Unfortunately this team didn’t have that next gear we hoped they did. They fought but couldn’t overcome the right side of the OL and Sayin’s inexperience. And as good as the defense is, they’re not nearly good enough stopping the run to be an all time side.

I know. I hope they find a great kicker in the portal who can consistently hit longer kicks.

You won’t see an argument from me about needing the best kicker available. Just don’t think it’s realistic when people say a 49 yarder is a chip shot. College kickers are inconsistent. The Groza winner missed 1-2 against Bama.

He went 1/4 last game so it sucks that he made this one.

The right side has had issues beyond coaching this whole season, but I’m definitely not sold on Bowen and the OL coaching they’ve used this season.

Outside of Reese, they have no one who can get after the QB quickly. Everyone else needs coverage sacks and the secondary has been exposed.

Them getting behind the secondary even with OL issues gives me a tiny bit of hope. Shows they might be able to get some huge scores.
