Oh
I can not agree more!!! I have always said that once this perceived lack of recruiting stars and finishing classes affects the on field performance can anyone complain until then the coaching staff's performance is near perfect.
Initially I admit I did not like the approach of encouraging kids look around prior to becoming Bucks but now I do as "the proof is in the pudding". If AD or BM or anybody's heart is at Rutgers, Tennesee, or wherever I would not want them to feel forced into becoming a Buck just because your...
As Buckeye fan I am disappointment that we did not get this particular kid that demonstrates good to great skills but Reggie White he is not yet so I would not say it "hurts". I have been diappointment with some of the losses but it just means that spot(s) will go to other great athletes that...
Would have loved to have him in a Buckeye uni but I have said numerous times why an Ohio boy would not go to the state school. Good luck to him at Rutgers!
UF, first off love your post! I agree I think JB will be a Buck and our coaches will turn him into an NFL draft pick before he leaves.
Edit: Thanks for clarifying UF.
I love when I see these topics back at the top of the screen. Everyone gets so enamored with the late commits and can we close or not that guys like Donnie get ignored. Here is a great prospect with very good skills (that can be honed to great skills) that because he committed months ago gets...
The kid had plenty of time to make his commitment and with our numbers being low this just happens. I wish him nothing but luck at SC but he did have opportunties to be a Buck
Zook is one of the worst game day coaches I have ever seen. What most recruitniks forget is no matter how many stars a kid has he still needs to be properly coached when he arrives to campus. This will be what holds Zook down as he still makes too many head scratching calls and is too nervous...
...and Bollman could not coach OLine in 2002 like he could in 2006.
In all seriousness the 2007 line will be a lot more athletic and versatile then the 2002 line. It is just a product of the OLiners that JT etal recruit now.
The fact that Zook is putting together a class like he is to me is less a testament of Zook's abililty rather a testament of the lack of ability by Turner. How tough is it to recruit with an area like Chicago.
I am surprised but not disappointed. The staff has had numerous opportunity to see this kid and have a better track record on judging talent then I do. From what I have heard is he will be a upstanding citizen on and off the field. This is also the type of kid that wants to be a Buckeye. He...
