Good competition in the off season.

Looking forward to a Hartford-McClain pairing next year. Certainly not happy to see Downs leave, but I feel better about it with a veteran stepping in.

QB Tavien St. Clair (Official Thread)

We really should get him some real minutes early next season.

    Agreed, completely.

    2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

There's definitely a way to lose it, P34, but it would be not taking them seriously and slack-assing the game. I agree with you and I just don't see that happening.

OT Austin Siereveld, Captain (All B1G, National Champion)

It's crazy that he has eligibility left. He looks like he's been working in a factory for twenty-five years to put three kids through college. Got what we in the south call that old man strong. :)

HC Ryan Day (B1G Coach of Year, B1G Champion, National Champion)

Yes, he excels at it, but he also sucks at it. It just depends on which Day we get and from much of what I’ve seen this year, I’m not super encouraged. Hartline didn’t call that bullshit Indiana scheme by himself. Let’s hope that we somehow get the CFP 2024 version.

WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Freshman of Year, B1G WR of Year, Unanimous All-American, 2025 Rose Bowl Off MVP, National Champion)

I’m inclined to agree even in a year where we’ve been too TE-focused.

LB Coach James Laurinaitis (2x B1G DPOY, 2006 Nagurski, 2007 Butkus, 2008 Lott, 3x All-American, OSU HOF, National Champion)

And he/they did it in a relatively short time with one guy moving over from safety and the other going from our third LB last year to AA as a first time starter. That’s development.

2025 Season: Are You Ready For Some Football?

    Innis isn't going anywhere, innit?

Since it’s roughly Xmas-time, my grandmother would say, “Y’all listen here, that boy’s about to throw them moneychangers out the temple, you hear?”

B1G CCG: #1 tOSU vs #2 Indiana in Indy, Sat. Dec 6th, 8 ET on FOX

I’ve had a chance to breathe now, and scum imploding has been a nice bonus. I’d like to see these clowns again in the CFP final. I think they played their best and we played if not our worst, close to it and lost by three. I don’t see us taking them lightly and that happening again.

    2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

I feel ok about Hartline in the first game with three weeks to work with, but he has to be locked in for the second two games.

HC Ryan Day (B1G Coach of Year, B1G Champion, National Champion)

Yes, because it can be an efficient and explosive offense. I'll take eight chances rather than four with this offense. In between, I'm playing the odds that this defense will minimize the potential damage of our extra possessions. That's what we did last year in the playoff. I think our...

HC Ryan Day (B1G Coach of Year, B1G Champion, National Champion)

I understand and agree to disagree. We're not good enough to only have a few bites at the apple and our defense is good enough to minimize what the other side can do. I think that given enough bites at it we will execute. We are that good on offense. I simply, at this point trust the defense...

HC Ryan Day (B1G Coach of Year, B1G Champion, National Champion)

You can also have more time of possession by having more possessions. That's what's a little maddening to me. If we had a slightly above average defense, ok, I can see trying to extend the time of each drive. We don't have that. We have one of the, if not the, best defenses we've had. I...

RB Lamar "Bo" Jackson (All B1G)

Defender closed pretty quickly and my thought was that Sayin was a little gun shy about interceptions. I didn't have a problem with him not throwing to Jackson, but I question why he didn't just run for the yard. He had two there, easy.

OC/WR Coach Brian Hartline (National Champion, HC at USF, Buckeye OC for this postseason)

I think the IU game showed that he's not a finished product as an OC. Maybe he'll be a CEO-type of HC.

K Jayden Fielding (All B1G, National Champion)

He doesn’t get a pass because we’ve had other mediocre and worse kickers and we don’t get a pass for having had so many mediocre and worse kickers. There’s this thing called to transfer portal now and we seem to use it magnificently for most other positions. Go out and get a fucking kicker...

Contrast our running plays with that kid Black for IU. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a back hit the hole as fast as a few of his runs.
