  1. Impending Assistant Coach Vacancies

Hoping that Day continues to swing for the fences on these vacancies. Would love to bring in a top level guy that isn't even on the radar because they are already successful on a top level team. Maybe Phil Parker is tired of Iowa, haha. I would love to turn into a staff that becomes known for...
  2. Jim Knowles (DC Penn St.)

That's a very fair assessment. 2022 showed sparks of potential and was a dramatic improvement over the prior year. But he clearly wasn't ready for top level offenses. 2023 saw a big philosophy shift to limit big plays where he used far less all-or-nothing blitz packages. It's difficult to...
  3. Game Thread For the Natty vs ND, “One More, Then Forever”, Jan. 20th, 34-23 Buckeyes!

The combined kicking-the-door down and beating some ass way we started the Tennessee and Oregon games takes the cake for me. We started the Tennessee game with a 191 to -6 yards advantage. Then followed that up against Oregon by outgaining them 170 to 10 to start the game. Coming out of the...
  4. WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American, 2025 Rose Bowl Off MVP, National Champion)

That is true. Hadn't considered that big difference from 2020.
  5. WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American, 2025 Rose Bowl Off MVP, National Champion)

Hope he gets all of that done in 2025, because I have a feeling that will be his last in Scarlet and Gray. I see a Ja'Marr Chase type prep for the NFL year in 2026.
  6. Chip Kelly (OC Las Vegas Raiders)

Rumblings that I saw were the Jags are going to make a run at him.
  7. RB Quinshon Judkins (National Champion, Cleveland Browns)

Declaring for draft per Thamel. Was holding out some hope, but not surprised. Time for Peoples to shine.
  8. Jim Knowles (DC Penn St.)

???? I mean if you want to go back to prior years I would agree to a a point, but this defense didn't rank #1, #2, #3,etc. for the entire season in all of those categories based on a "4 game heater". Even in his worst game wasn't THAT bad if you look at what the Ducks did to everyone this...
  9. HC Ryan Day (National Champion)

Penn State and ND were #3 according to AP when we beat them, respectively. Edit: beat out by a few seconds haha
  10. Game Thread For the Natty vs ND, “One More, Then Forever”, Jan. 20th, 34-23 Buckeyes!

Crazy that one of UGA's two wins was a 1 point victory. Also, this stat needs to be shown to all the people bitching about how non-competitive the first round was. Yeah, pretty much every record was broken this year or will be in the next two years. These single-postseason statistics are...
  11. Deion Sanders (HC Colorado, Father of SubPrime)

Bingo. The reporter cited 'two sources' gave her the story about the NIL rebuff. Any doubt those sources were Prime and his agent? Just planting the seed for the inevitable jump to Dallas.
  12. OL Donovan Jackson (All B1G, 1st Team All-American, 1st Team Academic All-American, National Champion, Minnesota Vikings)

  13. Game Thread For the Natty vs ND, “One More, Then Forever”, Jan. 20th, 34-23 Buckeyes!

I have questions. First what is this poll? Why were the only options these two teams? I have a hard time believing Texas and Georgia felt this way when Oregon was still alive for the Natty. Secondly, what trolls picked the colors for this map? It has to be intentional, as even an intern...
  14. Game Thread For the Natty vs ND, “One More, Then Forever”, Jan. 20th, 34-23 Buckeyes!

Feeling good that we have 'leave no doubt' Ryan Day and not 'be in a position to win it in the 4th quarter' Ryan Day.
  15. Game Thread For the Natty vs ND, “One More, Then Forever”, Jan. 20th, 34-23 Buckeyes!

Actually I'm not so sure that it is bad. SEC teams seem to be on average penalized more than most conferences (I mean ANY conference is penalized more than the Big 10). I know it's a lot to ask, but maybe we will be on the good end of a holding call for the first time since September. Not sure...
  16. HC Ryan Day (National Champion)

Raise your hand if you thought Coach Day may be the undisputed best single season big game coach. Just saw he tied for most top 5 wins in a season and could set record with the natty
  17. 2024 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

From Jerimiah Smith thread: Another way to highlight the Buckeye's dominant run in the playoffs so far. Of remaining three teams, Buckeyes have top three graded players and five out of the top seven. Let's keep that trend going tonight.
