MSU showed Bama can be slowed greatly by a strong defensive line that blitzes well. MSU also showed that if you don’t have a good offense, you can’t win.

There is still a long way to got. I was wrong about LSU. They were weak in the trenches. UGA and Clemson would be big tests for Bama. But Bama would still probably be favored by 10-13 pts.

It’s just plain too early too. Bama is thin at linebacker this year and the DL isn’t the typical Bama unit. Also thin at corner. It’s not a problem now, but Bama is a couple of injuries away from having an average defense. LSU is the team that is built to beat Bama in the SEC.
