Which teams have played 17 game seasons ? Pretty much no one. Who recruits as well as Ohio State Year over year? Pretty much no one. We should rotate in our 2-deep OL in this era of 16 or 17 game seasons. Not saying equal playing time…..but we should have back-ups with significant playing...

OSU just recently has gone hard after him and it is causing some soul searching for him. He has always been a huge buckeye fan. But Oklahoma has been on him since his sophomore season and so has Luke Fickell. If he chooses OSU it will be because of the whiffs on the out of state targets

It just keeps pointing back to Day’s (and his staff’s) refusal to rotate players generously. They seem to always be behind the 8-ball every season with inexperience. Ohio State should be playing a 2-deep all game In this era of the CFP.

Agree. And after a lot of consideration, I do as well. We simply don’t have the money to throw $35M at replacing a coach who is at least recruiting well and playing 85% W/L football. For richer, for poorer. He is our coach For at least 1 or 2 more seasons.

No doubt he has been impressive all year. My sons went to Olentangy and not Liberty….we were redistributed to OHS though most of their friends stayed at Liberty. I coached several of the Liberty boys in youth basketball and baseball and cherished that time with them. Very proud of then all

That is precisely how Joe Paterno did it when he roamed the sidelines. The dude never wore a headset. He had excellent coordinators and JoePa watched the play on the field and looked for details and specifics like who was winning the trenches and where. Which linebackers or backs were not...
