You did and I hope you meant to!
When looking at your team, you have Harris as your starting CF but he is on the IL. You can move him into one of your IL slots, then pick up another player without having to drop one if you want to.
I think these are the main pros and cons to both.
Roto:
Pros- The best team is going to win because they have proven it with a full year’s worth of stats.
Cons- Teams that fall behind early may want to give up earlier because they don’t feel they can make up ground.
Head-to-head:
Pros-...
Kiss. Of. Death. I don’t know if I have had a worse performing offense team than this one in the three weeks since this statement. Seriously, Mario Mendoza is laughing his ass off at this collection of sub-.200 hitting. And to add one more kick to the nuts, lost Acuna for the season yesterday...
I did offer you a trade. But it sat there awhile without being accepted or rejected so I removed it. I can try again, but don’t recall the exact offer.
And you know that Strider is done for the year so you can safely drop him and pick someone else up if you like.
I believe if you picked someone up on waivers, that player doesn’t end up on your roster until the following day. I think its been that way for as long as the league has been around. Weird because that player is added to your roster like at 4:00 AM but doesn’t show up as an option until the next...
I am willing to trade some good starters for some offensive pop. Hit me up with an offer or let me know need some starting pitching and have an extra bat.
Instead of having an opponent every week in which your stats only count for that week, you are accumulating stats for the entire year. Each category highest score is 10 since there are 10 league members. So if you are leading the league in steals, you have accrued 10 points for that category, if...
150 games per position player sounds reasonable and allows for some use of bench guys for off days. At first glance, 1500 innings seemed a little light, but when considering starting pitchers don’t go as deep in games anymore, I think you landed on a good number.
That is a fair point, Jake. But if you set it up to end our baseball roto season to correspond to the beginning of the Buckeye football season, then maybe the guys will stick to it until the end of August knowing it is a good sports diversion until football starts. At least it wouldn’t include...
Could you set up a 6x6 roto with the same categories as the current head to head format has? That way you are incorporating both holds and saves as separate roto categories?
I wouldn’t mind trying something different to shake things up a bit and try roto for a year, and if the group doesn’t...
I think you are right! Throw in a 6-5-1 finish once and MD beat me 5-4-3 last year. Crazy to think about being on the losing end of each of those close title matches…
